Sacred Music
Hymns and carols from the West,
mantra and kirtan from the East —
sacred song offered to every open heart.
An eminent Avatar of the Hindu Solar Lord is Krishna. “Krishna” is linguistically linked to the Greek word “Khristos”, Latin “Christus”, and English “Christ”. In Sanskrit, this holy name is translated as “the all-attractive One”. — Business & Spirituality, p. 254
The sacred music produced here is not so far apart as it first appears. Unitive Spirituality presents these lineages side by side, each honored on its own terms rather than blended into one — the hymns and carols of the Western Christian tradition on one side, the mantra and kirtan of India on the other, under two names so that each may be heard at its full, undiluted strength.
Sacred Music
Justin S. Grant

In the natural world, many species are spirited singers, and the human voice is the greatest musical instrument on Earth. — Business & Spirituality, p. 340
Justin S. Grant, MA sings the hymns, carols, and beloved songs of the Western tradition, recorded simply and sung from the heart. The intent is devotional rather than performative: a voice, a familiar melody, and the quiet these songs have carried for generations.
He came to this music through choirs — first the Gospel Choir at the University of California, Santa Barbara, then six international championships in the barbershop tradition: four singing bass with the Westminster Chorus, and two singing tenor with the Masters of Harmony. He has also sung with the worship team choir, and the Hunny Band at Angelus Temple.
Many are the spiritual tools given to us. When we wisely employ them, we sing in concert with angelic choirs. — Business & Spirituality, p. 344
Hallelujah
Leonard Cohen’s hymn in three settings — guitar, piano, and an extended eternal version — sung as the prayer it has always been.
Let It Be
The Beatles’ benediction, in the same devotional spirit — a song for reflection, grief, gratitude, or simple stillness.

Jay Krishna®

“To protect the virtuous, to destroy the wicked… I manifest Myself age after age.” — Krishna
“Jay Krishna” translates as “Victory of Divinity,” from the hallowed Indo-European language of Sanskrit. The well-known term “mantra” refers to a sacred sound or phrase, an invocative appeal for help or aid.
“By meditative invocation we rise above the dust of the material world and the storms of the emotional world, entering the fiery world of lucid mind, ecstatic intuition, and sonorous Deity.” — Business & Spirituality, p. 270
The mantras chanted by Jay Krishna (b. Justin S. Grant) bring ageless sounds into the modern world and may be enjoyed and employed by those of any faith, or no faith at all. A transporting journey into intuitional realms of awareness, the call and response method can be either participatory or atmospheric.
Through the blending of ethereal vocals, classical music of Himalayan origin, and French/Indian harmonium, Eastern and Western energies are synthesized into waves of enchanting sound.
