“The Great Singer built the worlds…
and the Universe is His Song.”Hindu Proverb
The Science of the Sacred Word
Every creation story on Earth begins with sound. As Business & Spirituality observes: “In the beginning was the Word, the OM, the Bang.” A Hindu hymn chants, “The Great Singer built the worlds, and the Universe is His Song.” A Hebrew psalm teaches, “By the word of the LORD the heavens were made.” (Psalm 33:6) Invocation stands in this lineage — the focused, voiced projection of aspiration into the world.
“By meditative invocation we rise above the dust of the material world and the storms of the emotional world, entering the fiery world of lucid mind, ecstatic intuition, and sonorous Deity.” — Justin S. Grant, MA, Business & Spirituality p. 270
Where meditation listens and visualization sees, invocation speaks. The practice is simple and potent: still yourself as for meditation, then give voice — aloud, with full intention — to words of light. The Great Invocation above is the classic mantram for this work: a world-service prayer, used daily by people of every faith and none, asking that light, love, and purpose be restored on Earth.
Spoken each day — morning or evening, alone or in a group — invocation gathers the inner voice, sharpens it, and sends it out. Heightened awareness becomes greater effectiveness in the outer world. The Word, it turns out, is still creating worlds.
