Christianity is the world's largest religion, Christmas Day is a national holiday in many countries, and the birthdate of Christ is the foundation for our global calendar system.

Master Jesus beautifully affirmed:

“And now I give you a new commandment: love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” (John 13:34)

At the center of Jesus’s teaching stands a claim so radical that two thousand years have not exhausted it: “I and the Father are one.” The Christian mystics understood this not as a fact about Jesus alone but as an invitation extended to every soul — the Kingdom of Heaven, He insisted, is within.

Modern scholarship has only deepened the richness of the tradition. Jesus and His disciples spoke primarily Aramaic, while the New Testament was composed in Greek — a reminder that from the very beginning, the Gospel has been a living transmission, carried in community, translation, and song rather than in ink alone. Even our beloved Christmas Day of December 25th was fixed centuries after Jesus lived, aligning the birth of the Light of the World with the returning light of the winter sun — the cosmos itself pressed into service as scripture.

And the early Christian world was more spacious than many assume. As explored in Business & Spirituality, belief in the soul’s long journey was common before, during, and after the life of Jesus, and Paul himself taught:

“If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body… The first man was of the dust of the earth; the second man is of heaven.” — 1 Corinthians 15:44–47, quoted in Business & Spirituality p. 176

Christianity, encountered at full depth, is not a fence around God — it is a door, and the door “will be opened to you.”
