The terms that govern this site, our programs, and our messages.
These terms govern your use of unitivespirituality.org, operated by Unitive Spirituality, Inc., a California nonprofit religious corporation exempt under Section 501(c)(3), EIN 84-3443988. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. Who We Are
Unitive Spirituality, Inc. is a nonprofit dedicated to wellbeing, Self-realization, and the spiritual unity of one humanity. We publish books and courses, produce sacred music, and offer meditation, contemplative, and interfaith programs.
2. Use of the Site
You may use this site for personal, non-commercial purposes and for the spiritual and educational purposes for which it is offered. You may not use it unlawfully, attempt to gain unauthorized access to it, interfere with its operation, scrape it at a scale that burdens it, or use it to harass others.
3. Intellectual Property
The text, teachings, book excerpts, images, recordings, and sacred music on this site are owned by Unitive Spirituality, Inc. or used with permission, and are protected by copyright. Jay Krishna® is a registered trademark of Unitive Spirituality, Inc. (U.S. Reg. No. 6293097). You may read, listen, and share links freely. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works from our material for commercial purposes without written permission.
4. Donations
Donations to Unitive Spirituality, Inc. are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. EIN 84-3443988. Donations are processed by an independent payment processor; we do not receive or store your card details. Donations are generally non-refundable, but if you believe a gift was made in error, write to us through unitivespirituality.org/contact/ and we will work it out with you in good faith.
You are never required to consent to text messages, email, or any other communication in order to donate.
5. Courses, Programs, and Third-Party Platforms
Some of our courses are hosted on third-party platforms with their own terms, pricing, and refund policies. Your purchase there is governed by that platform's terms, not by ours. Events and programs may have their own registration requirements, which will be stated at registration.
6. Not Medical, Psychological, Financial, or Professional Advice
This is important. Everything on this site and in our programs — the writing, teachings, book excerpts, courses, meditations, visualizations, invocations, contemplative and bilateral-stimulation practices, breathing, fasting, dietary and wellness material, and sacred music — is offered for spiritual, educational, and informational purposes only.
Unitive Spirituality, Inc. and Justin S. Grant are not engaged to render medical, psychological, psychiatric, therapeutic, counseling, legal, tax, accounting, financial, investment, or any other kind of professional advice or service. Nothing here diagnoses, treats, cures, or prevents any condition, and nothing here substitutes for the care of a licensed professional. Using this site, enrolling in a course, attending a program, or corresponding with us creates no doctor-patient, therapist-client, attorney-client, fiduciary, advisory, or other professional relationship.
No warranties, no guaranteed outcomes. No warranties or guarantees are expressed or implied by any of the content we publish. We promise no outcome of any kind — spiritual, physical, emotional, mental, relational, professional, or financial. Experiences described in our books, teachings, testimonials, or reviews are individual and are not a representation of what you will experience.
Your choices are your own. You, the reader and participant, are responsible for your own choices, actions, and results. Before beginning any meditation, visualization, invocation, bilateral-stimulation, breathing, fasting, dietary, or physical practice described here — and particularly if you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or living with a medical or psychiatric condition — consult a qualified professional first.
Our bilateral-stimulation meditations are contemplative practices for self-guided use. They are not clinical therapy, are not EMDR treatment, and are not administered or supervised by a licensed clinician.
Business and financial content. Our writing on business, organizations, leadership, wealth, and corporate culture is philosophical and educational. It is not investment advice, not a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security or asset, and not a basis for any business, employment, tax, or financial decision. Consult your own qualified advisors before acting.
In an emergency. If you are in crisis or facing a medical or psychiatric emergency, contact a licensed professional or emergency services immediately. Do not rely on this site, our programs, or our text messages for urgent help. We do not provide crisis services and we do not monitor any channel for emergencies.
7. User Submissions
If you send us a message, prayer request, testimonial, or other content, you confirm it is yours to send. We will treat personal information in it according to our Privacy Policy. We may use anonymized feedback to improve our work; we will not publish anything identifying you without your permission.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The site, its content, and every program offered through it are provided "as is" and "as available," with all faults. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied — including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that any content is complete or current.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither Unitive Spirituality, Inc. nor its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, contractors, licensors, or Justin S. Grant shall be liable for any physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, reputational, or financial damages — including, but not limited to, direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, personal injury, loss of income, loss of profits, lost business or investment opportunity, loss of data, or the cost of substitute services — arising out of or relating to your use of the site, your participation in any program or course, or your reliance on anything we publish. This applies whether the claim sounds in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other theory, and whether or not we were advised that such damages were possible.
Where the law does not permit the exclusion of certain damages, our total aggregate liability for all claims is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or one hundred United States dollars (US$100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or the limitation of certain damages, so parts of Sections 8 and 9 may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Unitive Spirituality, Inc., its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, and contractors from any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense — including reasonable attorneys' fees — arising out of your use or misuse of the site, your participation in any program, your violation of these terms, your violation of any law, or your infringement of anyone's rights.
11. Links to Other Sites
We link to sites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
13. SMS Messaging Terms
Program. Unitive Spirituality, Inc. operates a text-messaging program with three separate categories, each requiring its own consent: (1) service and program messages, (2) ministry and community updates, and (3) giving and fundraising. Fundraising consent is always requested separately and is never bundled with the others.
Consent. We text only those who have given prior express written consent. Our 501(c)(3) status does not exempt us from that requirement. Consent is not a condition of donating, registering, enrolling, or receiving any service from us.
Frequency. Varies by category. Ministry and community updates are typically no more than 4 messages per month; giving and fundraising messages are typically no more than 2 per month, rising modestly during a year-end campaign. Service messages are sent only as the activity you signed up for requires.
Message and data rates. May apply. Contact your mobile carrier for details.
How to stop. You may revoke consent at any time by any reasonable means. Replying STOP, END, QUIT, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, REVOKE, or OPT OUT always works, as does a request in your own words, a message through unitivespirituality.org/contact/, a call or text to 323-482-1808, or a letter to 5419 Hollywood Blvd, STE C 708, Los Angeles, CA 90027. We honor every request as soon as we receive it and in no case later than 10 business days. An unqualified stop ends all categories; name a category to end only that one.
Confirmation. You may receive one confirmation message, containing no promotional content, within five minutes of your request.

Age. 18 or older.
Carriers. Supported carriers include AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and other major U.S. carriers. Carrier support may vary. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
No sharing. Text-message opt-in data, phone numbers, and consent records are never sold, rented, shared, or traded with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.

14. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these terms. The effective date above will change when we do. Continued use of the site means you accept the revision.
